Macleay will be represented in the Under-17 Division 3 this year.
The team has been training hard since February and have attended a few carnivals and competitions in preparation for this weekend's championships.
The Macleay Association has been sending teams to represent the region at these State Championships for many years.
The association is proud of their teams and all they achieve each year. The teams never give up and give it their all against some very tough competition.
The team will play in excess of 18 games over the Saturday, Sunday and Monday against teams from all over NSW.
Co-coaches of the Under-17's, Georgie Murphy and Kay Iverach along with manager Jess Lawrence, are all more than happy with their team's preparation this year and have no doubt they will do well against the best in the state in their division.
Unfortunately they have lost one of their players, Phoebe Dyet, due to a bad injury last week while playing school rugby union, which leaves them with nine players instead of the ideal 10 but they will solider on and work together to still play their best netball.
The Macleay Association wishes the Under-17s team the very best of luck for the championships and are proud of them no matter what the results are at the end of the competition on Monday.
The Association will have two of their local badged umpires, Dana Dyet and Rebecca Cotter, representing at the championships also and they thank them and wish them all the best too.
Under-17s team:

There will be no Saturday netball this weekend for everyone on the Macleay due to the long weekend and the State Championships. Competition resumes on Saturday June 15.
