The Rangers suffered a 2-0 loss to the competition leaders Port United in their latest match, but Macleay Valley were unfortunate not to earn at least a draw in the contest.
The Rangers, who dropped to third place after their defeat, earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory when they faced the Tigers in round one of the Football Mid North Coast Premier League.
The Tigers, who currently sit in eighth position on the ladder, enter this game on the back of a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Port Saints.
The Tigers have registered one win, one draw and six losses this year.
The Rangers have five wins, one draw and two losses next to their name.
The competition took a break last Saturday for the June long weekend.
