The Marlinettes held a 14-12 advantage after tries to Ashleigh Howe, Olivia Roko and Tahlisa Daley-Button and a conversion to Tyan Leonard.
However, the Blues had the better of the starts in the second half and were able to make the Marlinettes pay as fullback Amanda Hanson scored to take a 16-14 lead.
However, the late try to Randall gave the Marlinettes the lead and they were able to hold on for the narrow victory.
