Under cloudy skies that did eventually open later in the festivities, Gordon Park in Nambucca Heads came alive with stalls of every possible kind.
There were tasty treats from Vietnam, Germany, Italy and Spain, plus local fare such as blueberries, pancakes, pies and hot chips, which hundreds came to enjoy.
Hosted by the Nambucca Heads Lions Club, the events main organiser, Don Parveez, said he was thrilled with the way the day unfolded.
As the Guardian wandered among the crowd, it was clear that it was not only locals who had come a number of families were on their way home from holidays further north, dropping in enroute.
Later in the afternoon came the novelty events such as the boot throwing, the sack races and the crab auction and races.
Although the end was a little soggy, the day itself couldnt have been better, not to mention a successful fundraiser for the nominated charity, Nambucca Valley Parkinson's Support Group.
