Vincent Court has welcomed the Federal Government's Department of Health decision to lift sanctions after it successfully met the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission's accreditation standards.

Vincent Court, a 99-bed residential aged care facility, is part of the Macleay Valley Catholic Parish Kempsey and managed by Catholic Care of the Aged (CCA) Port Macquarie.

The Department of Health confirmed on June 27 that Vincent Court can now accept new residents and congratulated everyone involved for their 'engagement, investment and commitment to the process' in returning the service to compliance.
CCA General Manager, Bronwyn Chalker, was delighted at the news and acknowledged the dedication and hard work of staff in ensuring Vincent Court's compliance with all accreditation standards.
"I feel privileged to work with the wonderful and committed staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure Vincent Court met the standards and is able to welcome new residents," Ms Chalker said.
"The health, well-being and safety of our residents at Vincent Court has and always will be our top priority."
"As an organisation, we are committed to continuous improvement and welcome feedback from our residents, their families and the community on how we can do things better," she added.
"If anyone would like to inspect our facilities, or to talk to us about residential or respite care, we would welcome the opportunity to have you see for yourself the genuine and homely atmosphere of Vincent Court," Ms Chalker concluded.
