People of all ages came together to celebrate Aboriginal culture and what Naidoc Week means to them.
Burrun Dalai Aboriginal Corporation CEO Dana Clarke said seeing so many people at the event was amazing.
"By hosting the Family Fun Day, we have always wanted to highlight the children during Naidoc Week and celebrate them," she said.
"The event has grown each year, it's so great to see so many people here today."
There was plenty of entertainment on offer for all ages including rides, food stalls, traditional Aboriginal food, music and a number of service provider stalls.
"It's a great opportunity for us to give back and for locals to celebrate Indigenous culture.
"This is really a day for the whole community to come together and celebrate Naidoc Week."
The Family Fun Day event is now in its 19th year in Kempsey.
"Our children are our future and having a fun day out to celebrate Indigenous culture can go a long way towards reconciliation and bringing the community together," Ms Clarke said.
