Police are calling for footage or witnesses to come forward after a 41-year-old Macleay Valley man was found deceased on the Pacific Highway near Kempsey.

Mid-North Coast Police were called to the breakdown lane of the highway, one kilometre north of the Clybucca rest stop at around 11.50pm on Monday July 15.
Mid North Coast Local Area Commander Superintendent Paul Fehon said police investigations are continuing.
"Inquiries have indicated this person was possibly hit by a motor vehicle, which could have been a truck or sedan," said Supt Fehon.
"We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been travelling along the highway between 10.30pm and 11.50pm.

"If they have any information or footage from dash cameras, if they could provide that to police it could enable us to determine the movements of this person.
"Police are trying to determine whether a motorist may have been aware of the collision with this person."
A crime scene has been established at the location for members of the Mid North Coast Crash Investigation Unit.
Relatives of the man are currently assisting with identification.
