Saints coach Amy O'Brien said the 2-0 loss against the Camden Haven on Saturday was disappointing but admits the Redbacks were the better side.
"It isn't how we wanted our season to end but we have a great group of girls who were able to develop and bond throughout the year, especially on our trip to Newcastle for the North Coast State Cup," O'Brien said.
"They played well and deserved the victory."
First half injuries to centre midfielders O'Brien and Hayley Kesby dealt a massive blow to the Saints' chances.
The two managed to finish the game but were hampered.
While the season is over, O'Brien said the side is already looking forward to next year.
"We will have most of the same girls back next year and a few more stepping up from younger age groups too," she said.
O'Brien also wished the Rangers well in the finals series.
"Good luck to the Rangers, hopefully they can keep the premiership trophy in Kempsey."
