Orchid lovers, or anyone with an appreciate for intricate flowering plants, is invited to browse the stunning array of blooms at the upcoming Macleay and Nambucca Valley orchid society shows this month.
Macleay Valley Orchid Show: August 24-25
The Macleay Valley Orchid Society hold their annual early Spring show at the Kempsey RSL Club in York Land this weekend, August 24 and 25.
Open to the public from 9.30am to 5pm on Saturday and 9.30am to 3pm on Sunday, there will be books and orchid plants for sale.
Nambucca Valley Orchid Show: August 29-31
The Nambucca Valley Orchid Society's Spring Orchid Show will be held over three days at the Nambucca Community Art Centre in Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads from Thursday, August 29 to Saturday, August 31.
Plants, craft, beautiful flower arrangements will all be for sale, as well as plenty of good advice on how to grow your orchids. Entry is by gold coin donation. A raffle will also be drawn at 2pm on Saturday, August 31.
