The 15-year-old former St Paul's College student has upped sticks from Arakoon and moved to Brisbane and a new school - but it was business as usual when he slipped on the mitts and stepped between the ropes.
Levi had to win two fights on his way to the title - both over three rounds.
The first bout - the semi-final - was the toughest.
"He had an awkward style and kept going for the clinch," Levi told the Argus of that first encounter which he won on a split decision.
"In the final (against Kenny Orman from the Northern Territory) it was easy for me to adapt to his style.
"Halfway through the first round I was dominant and he knew it, because he was just trying to knock me out."

Levi, who towers at 180cm and tipped the scale at 66kg for the Golden Gloves, won the showpiece by unanimous decision.
Now studying at Genesis Christian College in North Brisbane and boxing under Benny Harrington, Levi said he had plenty of messages of support from his mates in Kempsey.

"They were texting me and saying 'good job, good on you'," Levi said.
While the youngster is also a karate black belt, he said his focus has now narrowed to the sweet science.
To that end he's now preparing for the Queensland State Boxing Titles on the Gold Coast in two weeks - where he plans to weigh in at 70kg.
"If I do well there I can qualify for nationals so that's the goal," Levi said.
