Prosper is looking forward to the opportunity to test himself against the best players from New Zealand.
"I'm thrilled. I enjoy playing cricket and want to compete at the highest level possible. I would love to get to a stage where cricket pays the bills though," he said.
"I started playing when I was 6, and have been playing indoor since 2013, cricket was the sport my dad played, so I guess you could say it's in my blood."
Prosper was selected off the back of a solid performance at the Australia Indoor Cricket National Championships, and while the his team didn't get the win, the Macleay born cricketer was impressive enough to get the call up for the Australian side.
"My selection came from a performance at the Indoor National Championships which were held at Casey Stadium, Cranbourne, Victoria," Prosper said.
"I captained the NSW Cyclones, we pulled off some exciting wins, but unfortunately we just missed out on the semi-finals. I ended up placing fifth in the overall stats.
"I wasn't the only one from the area, Ben Pierce and Jarrod Prosper were in the team as well. We've all been playing at the Macleay Indoor Sports and Development Centre for years; they helped spark our interest from an early age."
I've played with some of the boys before, and there are some new faces, but we will have a red hot side, if we don't win it, I think we will get very close.

Leaving on September 9, Prosper will join his teammates and travel to Palmerston North in New Zealand to play a five-match series against New Zealand, along with the 21s Women and Opens Men's and Women's.
"I've played with some of the boys before, and there are some new faces, but we will have a red hot side, if we don't win it, I think we will get very close," Prosper said.
"I've made the U17s Australian side for indoor cricket twice before, we ended up winning the 2015 world series, but this is the first time I've played for the U21s."
The week after the men's and women's Australia Indoor Cricket National Championships, the junior championships were held and the Macleay had six players competing. Riley Mitchell, Quinn Cooper and Ryan McKiernan were in the U13 boys, Cooper Petterson was in the U15 boys and Zoe Delimihalis and Jai Pierce were in the U17 girls side.
