Doors open at 6.30 pm. Monies raised will be going to the Green Pastures Hospital in Nepal. This hospital has been helping people with Leprosy and Disability for almost 60 years.
They need your help. The fellowship,is a small organisation and a non denominational Christian fellowship, doing wonderful work with thousands of people going through their doors.
They are looking to raise $100,000 this year to finance their treating of extremely poor patients. Nepal lies between India and China and is an extremely poor country.
A local Kundabung resident Steve Dunstan, is organizing a night of great music at the Kundabung Hall to help his sister in her fund raising efforts. Lick the Spoon is a local Kundabung band who have been playing around the traps for years and love to entertain at a good bush fundraiser.
There will be a raffle on the night, a barbecue available for you to use free of charge to cook your dinner, tea and coffee will be made available for a gold coin donation and admission is $10 but children under 16 years will be admitted free of charge. There is always plenty of parking at the hall and free camping overnight is available for anyone who would like to travel to this event. This will be an enjoyable family night.
Steve also has a fundraising web page if you cant make it to the event but would like to make a donation. This is the link( https://www.inf.org/campaigns/stephens-abc-fundraising-trek-2019/)
Perhaps you can make it to the night but would also like to make a financial donation as well. The INF also works towards combating the low status of women in Nepal, improving child mortality, fighting leprosy and tuberculosis, reducing the spread of HIV / AIDES as well as educating people on matters of hygiene and to understand their impact on their environment. A big task for a small but effective organisation.
The Kundabung Hall is a community hall. It is available for all kinds of events and "Lick the Spoon" have entertained inside on many occasions. You will not be disappointed at their musical prowess. This promises to be a fun family night, for a wonderful cause.
It might be an idea to throw a few fold up chairs in your car, just in case . Bring plenty of food and drink as its primarily a BYO event though soft drinks will be for sale in the kitchen. Feel free to make your self a coffee but dont forget to leave your gold coin donation in the jar.
Free camping is also available in the hall grounds for those people not wanting to travel home in the dark. You can then enjoy a slow Sunday morning under the gum trees. Please remember to stop and look for trains at the crossing just before the Hall on River Road Kundabung.
