Existing or soon to be established businesses will be able to find out more about a range of services such as effective grant writing, social media and marketing advice and local business resources.
The event will be held on Thursday October 17 at the Kempsey-Macleay RSL Club from 11am to 5:45pm. Businesses will be able to attend the expo and a range of workshops throughout the day.
Council's Manager Commercial Business Gayleen Burley said the event will be informative and will provide opportunities for local business owners to network with like-minded people.
"In NSW, small businesses make up 44 per cent of private sector employment with over 765,000 small businesses registered," she said.
"Over the last 12 months, the Macleay Valley has welcomed 35 new businesses bringing the Macleay Business Community to 2269.
"The expo and workshop series are designed to inspire and help all businesses within our community, offering a range of sessions and information.
"I encourage local operators to attend the full day if they can or to come to one of the sessions that may be of interest to them."
Attendance for the expo is free, participants are requested to register before 5pm on Tuesday October 15 by phoning Kristy Forche-Baird, Economic Sustainability Officer, Kempsey Shire Council on 6566 3113 or kristy.forche-baird@kempsey.nsw.gov.au.
