The gathering is organised by Jeff and Narelle Reardon, who run North Coast Speedboat Classics Facebook page, where people with a passion for the older boats can link up, get together and have fun on a river sharing their love for the older style classics.
These are the boats that so many people skiied behind back in the 70's and 80's and this group aims to get boats out of the sheds, dusted off and back into the water and it's all just for fun.
There will be a static display of boats under restoration as well as the ones participating in the run so come to Riverside Reserve Park boatramp, Kempsey from 8am and check out the sight and sounds of these old classics.
Anyone with an older boat is welcome to join in the fun, just turn up on the day or contact Jeff at North Coast Speedboat Classics Facebook page.
