Jack Wakley, 15, and Lachie Munday, 16, will take to the field against the defending champions Taree United in South Kempsey.
Wakley has been brought into the side as a batsman while Munday is an all-rounder but Dowling suggests he will be most utilised for his bowling.
While taking on the 2018-19 champions in the first week of the competition is a daunting task, Dowling claims it's a positive as they will be able to get a good gauge on their current position.
"They won the competition last year so it will be a good task for us to see where we are at and see what we need to work on throughout the year," Dowling said.
"We need to bowl tight and field well."
