Four days after the hottest October day for Kempsey on record, the town is predicted to experience its largest downfall in nearly four months over a 72-hour period.

Up to 30mm of rain is predicted to fall from Friday October 11 to Sunday October 13, which will be the most rain in Kempsey since June 25 to 27 when 32.7mm of rain fell.
Between 1-5mm of rain is expected to fall tomorrow, between 10 and 20mm of rain on Saturday and between 1-5mm of rain on Sunday.
However, there is only a 40 per cent chance of rain on Sunday, according to Weatherzone.
The most rain Kempsey has received in a 24-hour period in 2019 came on March 10, when 27.4mm was recorded.
Following the predicted three days of rain, the temperature is expected to increase and less than 1mm of rain to fall on Monday to Wednesday.
