Mr Schlotterbeck, who is a Collombatti Community Hall committee member, is unsure when the items were stolen, but knows for certain they were in place on Friday afternoon.
"We last saw them on Friday so it could have happened at any point over the weekend," Mr Schlotterbeck told the Argus.
The Collombatti man, who estimated the cost of the stolen items to be close to $4,000, remains in disbelief as he can't wrap his head around who would commit such a "low act".
"The people who run the hall are all volunteers and we do it for the community. The time and effort it will take to replace the water tanks now falls onto someone who will have to give up their time," he said.
"It's just such a low act. I can't believe someone would do such a thing, I just can't comprehend it.
"They weren't just stealing from one person, they stole from the entire community. Now everyone will have the sinking feeling that they were robbed."
The hall will remain closed until further notice, as the amenities in the block can't be used without the water tanks.
Mr Schlotterbeck did his best to look on the bright side.
"Hopefully this can help bring the community together as we rally to replace the items," Mr Schlotterbeck said.
The police were notified and they have begun their investigations.
