All three senior grades were washed out last week with only Rovers, who won their match against defending champions United, in the Premier League able to get a full game under their belts.
In the first grade competition this Saturday, Stuarts Point/Eungai will host the defending champions Nulla, who are expected to field a stronger side than their premiership season last year.
Nulla's Premier League side was forced to withdraw and players have returned to the local competition to play.
Meanwhile Stuarts Point/Eungai are looking to improve on a season where they struggled for player numbers and finished on the bottom of the table with only three wins.
In the other first grade game, Rovers take on South West Rocks at Jim Stirling Oval in South Kempsey.
Rovers reached last year's grand final and will be eager to start their season on the front foot while South West Rocks president Matt Ryan stated ahead of round one the club is hopeful of taking the next step this season.
South West Rocks challenged Rovers and Nulla, the two powerhouses of the local competition, last season and closed the gap.
The local junior competition is also scheduled to get under way this Saturday.
There is a junior league for the Under-10s, Under-12s and Under-14s and they play in the morning while seniors is in the afternoon.
