Timothy Adams from the Frederickton Golf Club has taken out the 2019 Dyet Family Memorial Golf Day held last Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Club.

Adams was one of the 74 players who took to the fairways of the club to remember the Dyet Family. Former club captain of many years Cecil and his wife Margaret and their son Michael (Mick) was a big part of the club for many years and the players on the day were out to remember them.
To the Dyet Family, a big thank you for your sponsorship of the day and to all sponsors, along with all the volunteers and helpers. With a large number of visitors in the field they came from Frederickton, Crescent Head, SWR , Beverley Park and all players did enjoy the day.
With Adams taking out the major prize on the day as the best score, there were also winners in each grade in the event.
Taking out the top grade with his round of 41 points was Robert Baker after being in the last group and playing very well. The runner up to Baker with a score of 39 points was Conrad Tamblyn.
In the 'B' grade on Saturday the winner was Kale Waters from Crescent Head with a score of 40 points to on a countback from Campbell Hoskins.
Taking out the 'C' grade after Adams was awarded the top prize was Luke Morris with his score of 37 points on a countback from Garry Brown.
In the Ladies Division on Saturday the winner was Nancy McNamara with a score of 33 points from Marissa Coombs with 31 and in third place was Jill Stringer.
A special award went to Marissa for her eagle three on the par five ninth hole on Saturday. The winners of the long drive on the 9th hole was Michael Heuston and on the 14th hole the winner was Ian Rudd. Taking the weekly Super Tee NTP on the 18th hole this week was Graeme Dyet with a very fine second shot to the green.
In the weekly ball competition the winners were players with a score of 35 points on a countback and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
The members and visitors will be playing in the 2019 Millionaries 18 hole Single Stableford event tomorrow with the first players hitting off from 7am. All intending players can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round. On the scoreboard roster tomorrow will be the week three team of Peter Callaghan, Paul Brose and Phil Starr.
A reminder to all players that the Thursday afternoon 9 Hole Dash for Cash is on again during the daylight saving time with all players booking in at the pro shop before hitting off.
A reminder that the third round of the 2019 Harry Richardson Pennants will be held on Saturday October 27 at the SWR club. All players wishing to play can place their names on the sheet at the club now.
