A BUSH FIRE is burning in the Andersons Rd, Willi Willi area, south west of Kempsey. The fire at 3.30pm was 195 hectares in size and is out of control.

The fire is moving in a south easterly direction towards Long Flat Creek Rd and Hut Rd, under strong westerly winds.
Under these conditions embers may be blown well ahead of the fire front, creating spot fires that may threaten properties before the main fire front arrives.
The fire is at a Watch and Act rating (6.30pm).
Advice: Monitor conditions in your area.
Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
Jacobs Spur fire
The fire is burning in the Willi Willi National Park approximately 30km west of Kempsey and to the south of Bellbrook. The fire is currently burning in remote area to the west of McCoys Creek.
Advice: People in the areas of Fitzroy Tablelands, Lower Creek, Comara, Bellbrook, MacKenzies Creek, Scrubby Creek, Warbro Brook, Moparrabah, Willawarrin and Toorumbee should monitor conditions and put their Bush Fire Survival Plan into action.
If you do not have a Bush Fire Survival Plan, know what you will do if the fire threatens your property.
The Jacobs Spur fire is 2333 hectares in size and is being controlled, according to the NSW RFS Fires Near Me app.
Road closures
The Oxley Highway is closed between Walcha and Bago due to a bush fire in Mt Seaview.
Motorists are advised to use Waterfall Way instead and allow extra travel time.
Due to a separate fire in Darawank, Failford Rd is closed between the Pacific Highway and The Lakes Way and The Lakes Way is closed between Failford Rd and Aquatic Rd.
Motorists wishing to access the Forster/Tuncurry area should use The Lakes Way near Buladelah and allow extra travel time.
There is no time frame for when these road closures will be lifted.
