It was a cold, cloudy day in Melbourne, but that didn't slow the jockeys enthusiasm. Finche was the favourite going into the big race at 3 pm, but it was ultimately 'Vow And Declare' who claimed the win for 2019. It's been ten years since an Australian-bred horse has won the Melbourne Cup, the last was 'Shocking' back in 2009.
