Last week's confirmed total of 15 homes has more than tripled with 57 homes now confirmed destroyed in the Kempsey Local Government area.
RFS building impact assessment teams have completed 95 per cent of their assessment of the fire ground to date.
"The number at this stage is not expected to rise with the current fire situation," RFS public liaison officer Barbara Webster said.
"The assessment teams usually go into the highest impact areas first and while they do still have some area to asses, the number is expected to remain the same."
Four facilities have also been destroyed, as well as 148 outbuildings.
"Firefighters were able to save a number of homes in the fire ground. The assessment teams have found 375 untouched homes where fire has impacted the landscape," Ms Webster said.
"These homes were saved by people preparing their properties as well as firefighters being able to undertake property protection."
There were also 25 homes and around 50 outbuildings confirmed as damaged.
