I would also like to thank everyone involved in the evacuation centre. The Salvos, Red Cross, St John ambulance, Uniting Care, Disaster Recovery, Local Land Services, Kempsey Shire Council, the Rural Fire Service, all the volunteers and everyone who donated items.

Everyone was treated with dignity and respect and nothing was a problem.

Thanks to all those who helped evacuate others and their animals and to those who organised help to the ones who couldn't get out.

The community spirit shown at this time was amazing. It will take a long time to recover from this awful event but we will recover if we continue to help each other.
