The 79-year-old, who has worked with the team in Kempsey for the past 12 years, is looking forward to retirement but admits it's a bittersweet feeling.
"I have mixed feelings, there's a bit of sadness but also relief that I can go off and do the things I want to do without any concern of needing to work," Mr Jarman told the Argus.
"After working for 62 years it has become a way of life but it is an exciting feeling to step into retirement."
Mr Jarman, who retired from his role at Alliance Pharmacy, admits he knew from an early age that he would be a pharmacist, as he became fascinated with science in his first year at high school.
The then 12-year-old had a lot of respect for the local pharmacists and was determined to make it his own career path.
Five years later and Mr Jarman had begun his career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr Jarman went on to own five pharmacies in Hurstville and Rockdale for 35-years.
The father-of-two claims he still holds a strong passion for pharmacy more than six decades later and claims he never wanted to do anything else.
"I just love it," he said.
"There are a lot of aspects that I enjoy but in particular I like having consultations and discussing the medication with customers."
Mr Jarman is looking forward to enjoying retirement in Coffs Harbour.
