Whilst I applaud the Argus' efforts in bringing their readers details of the horrible bushfire during the past month, I noticed with interest that much of the information has related to people who lost their homes, sheds etc.
We also had a fire come through our property at Temagog, and although the stables and fencing were damaged, we believe that God performed a mighty miracle and saved many houses, properties and animals, as well our house and animals.
The fire was very hot and moved quickly but suddenly changed direction and went around our house, missed some paddocks and joined up out the front and moved across the road. We also appreciate the help from the local firefighters and various organisations offering assistance.
All of us who have experienced this fire have been affected in many ways and my heart goes out to those who have lost so much. I'm attempting to put myself in your position and empathise with you, as my husband and I also recover - it has been a very emotional time for us as well.
