The raceday proved to be not only an incredible event, but also a spectacular showcase of Kempsey's Greenhill Speedway.
The racing saw not only the usual flat track motorcycles racing, but also created a new class of racing where famous brands such as Indian (also the major sponsor of the series), Harley-Davidson, and Triumph were burning up the track in style.
Local riders Mackenzie Booth, Jayden Holder, Kristian O'Donnell, Daniel Gill, and Mick Booth all took out class wins over riders visiting from all over the country.
Local Jarred Loveday also secured a second place finish for the series in the MX250 class.
Queenslander Max Whale took out the series win in the Pro 450 class to be crowned the inaugural Sultan Of Slide.
Max has only recently returned from racing in the AMA Flat Track series, one of the most competitive race series in the world.
Motorcycling NSW CEO, Dave Cooke, praised the local club for the professionalism they showed in hosting the event.
"This has turned into one of the biggest events in Flat Track racing, and the three clubs who hosted the series should all be congratulated," Cooke said.
"The series was raced at Wagga Wagga, Appin, and now the Macleay club has done an incredible job of preparing the Greenhill Speedway and running the ultimate event."
Cooke claims the Flat Track competition attracted the best riders from across the nation to Kempsey.
"We've had the fastest riders in the country here this weekend, and it was great to see the local riders holding their own and even taking the win in most of the classes," he said.
"The Macleay club runs both flat track racing and even grass track motocross racing, and they're one of the best run motorcycle clubs in NSW, so they're a great club for anyone looking to get into the sport to get involved with, whether you're 6 or 60."
local riders that participated Mackenzie Booth, Dan Gill, Tyler O'Donnell, Tyler Billing, Michael Booth, Jarred Loveday, James Chapman, Jayden Holder, Kristian O'Donnell, Thoren Openshaw, Garrett Nicholls, Josh Scott, Logan Davis, Nicholas Lahey, Jason Fenn, Jedd Gill, Daniel Benson, Harvey Nicholson, Blake Gill, Josh Poe, Xavier Nicholls and Branden Sydenham.
The event ran smoothly at the Greenhill Speedway and Macleay District Motor Cycle Club president Trent O'Donnell is hopeful the competition will return to the Kempsey region in the future.
