A teenager has been charged over an alleged stabbing in Kempsey, which left a man with critical injuries.

Shortly before 6pm on Monday December 9, a 21-year-old man presented at Kempsey Base Hospital suffering multiple stab wounds to his chest and back.
He was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District were notified and attended the hospital.
Following inquiries, a crime scene was established at a carpark on Smith Street, Kempsey.
Following further inquiries, a 17-year-old boy was arrested at a house in West Kempsey just after 9am yesterday (Tuesday December 10).
He was taken to Kempsey Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, armed with intent commit indictable offence and affray.
The boy was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Wednesday December 11).
Both males are believed to be known to each other.
