Residents reported 140mm fell in Kempsey, 164mm in Collombatti, 166mm in Hillview Estate, 144mm at Frederickton, 135mm at Austral Eden, 70mm at Crescent Head and 105mm at Bellbrook.
The consistent rainfall since Thursday afternoon is the most since 371mm of rain fell in March 2018, according to the bureau of meteorology.
While there is more rain expected for NSW in the next week, Kempsey's forecast predicts significant rain will fall this Friday January 24 and on Australia Day this Sunday January 26.
On both days possible thunderstorms and between 1-5mm of rain is predicted.
Locals recorded 48mm at Austral Eden, 11mm at Belmore River, 30mm at Clybucca and 45mm at Aldavilla in a 24-hour period last Thursday January 16 to Friday.
