The seven-a-side competition has grown to 20 teams and they will all be chasing the $1500 prize for first place.
Peters claims the increase in competition numbers is due to the increase in interest.
"We had a lot of people wanting to play in the competition this season so we decided to make the move to 20 teams," Peters said.
"It will be great to have some more younger players involved to get an experience of playing in this competition."
The fifth group will be made up of less experienced players and they will compete for a spot in the minor semi-finals.
The top team of each of the other four groups will advance to the major semi-final while the second placed teams will contest the minor-semi finals.
In addition to the prizes up for grabs for the finalists, any player who takes four wickets in any one match will win $25 or scores 100 in any one match will win $50. These prizes will be awarded in the pool rounds only.
There will be a food and drink stall located near the cricket nets for players and spectators convenience.
