Trixie, who now resides in South West Rocks, grew up in Austral Eden on a farm.
She is the fourth oldest of nine children.
"I had five brothers and three sisters. And I am the oldest one left now, two of my brothers and two of my sisters are still living," Trixie said.
Trixie married Aidan Delaforce on December 21 1941 at the age of 21.
They both worked on their farm together at Gladstone for 61 years.
"I'm a farmers' daughter and I became a farmers' wife," Trixie said.
Trixie and Aidan had four children together, Mervyn, Bruce, Betty and Dennis. All of their children grew up on the family farm at Gladstone.
Aidan passed away in 2002 after being married to Trixie for 61 years.
On reaching the milestone of her 100th birthday, Trixie said she is looking forward to celebrating with family and friends.
"I'm nervous to turn 100 but will be celebrating on Sunday," she said.
Trixie's daughter Betty said they always knew she would make it to her 100th birthday.
"We always told her she would be here when she reached 100, and she is," Betty said.
Trixie is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Residents and staff from Japara Aged Care Home celebrated Trixie's special day today as well as Australia Day by holding a special lunch, games and music for residents.
Trixie will celebrate her special day with family and fiends on her birthday, January 26.
