The event on Thursday, February 13 was organised as part of the Macleay Seniors Festival and a number of women attended.
Attendees were treated to manicures, foot massages, foot spas, high tea and participated in a relaxation session.
Community Gateway life skills and wellbeing coordinator Amanda David said unfortunately a lot of elderly people in the community are lonely but events such as these can help them reconnect with other people.
Given the fast paced and hectic nature of the world, Ms Davis said it's important people find time to look after themselves too.
"It gives them a chance to catch up with their friends and also meet new people," she said.
"It's about bringing people together."
Ms Davis said it's important loneliness is addressed as it can have consequences for ageing and wellbeing.
Families aren't as connected as they once were and everyone is always busy.
"We don't have time to stop and smell the roses," Ms Davis said.
Ms Davis said elderly people can have illness and mobility problems but the service supports them so they can connect with others.
