The rally will take place this Saturday, February 22 from 7 am to 9 pm on the foreshore of Crescent Head Beach.
"It's a great event for Crescent Head and brings surfing groups together from up and down the coast," Organiser Roger "Fergo" Fergusson told the Argus.
"We've got several local businesses sponsoring us again this year, but our major sponsor is Echo Voice and Data who have been very supportive of our event."
The surfing competition will involve local residents and contestants from a wider region who are all coming together for a day of fun in the sun.
Beachside festivities with food and music will begin at midday, local DJ's and bands are set to perform and entertain.
There are six divisions available, the Open Malibu 9 foot plus, Old Mal, Retro Single Fin, Under 18 Junior Malibu 8 foot plus, Ladies Malibu 8 foot plus and Seniors Over 50 Malibu.
Each contest will have 14 positions available for competitors.
The finals are scheduled to start at midday, depending on the tides.
Competitors can only compete in one division, but keen surfers can put their name down to enter more than one division along with their preferred event.
Surf Rally Awards and the presentation are expected at 4 pm.
Aside from showcasing talented surfers, Fergusson is adamant the grassroots event gives the community a chance to celebrate Crescent Head.
"We are all amigos with no egos," he said.
"The event brings our little community together and gets everyone on the same wave.
"It has been organised by the community, for the community, and on this day we can celebrate Crescent Head, the jewel in the crown of the Mid North Coast."
