The online auction, conducted by Lloyds Auctioneers, will give members of the community the opportunity to bid on a cabin that has been a part of our much-loved Crescent Head Holiday Park.
The cabins can be inspected by appointment made through Lloyds, on Wednesday June 3, Thursday June 4, Wednesday June 10 and Thursday June 11.
In April, Kempsey Shire Council announced the tender for the construction and installation of 12 cabins at Crescent Head Holiday Park which will replace the 13 cabins that are up for auction, presently located closest to the Reception building in the Oceanside precinct.
The cabins are partially furnished and have front or side attached verandahs.
There has been a great deal of local interest already. The auction site can be found at https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/AuctionDetails.aspx?aid=16910 pgn=1 pgs=15
In the coming months, Kempsey Shire Council will engage with the local community and tourists around future park development opportunities.
The refurbishment process, including the cabin replacement as a normal part of asset management, is being conducted during the unexpected lull due to coronavirus.
Council will duly release a detailed community engagement plan outlining how the community and visitors can provide input on future holiday park developments and layout possibilities for all five Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks.
