I WRITE to give a big thanks to Kempsey Shire Council for bringing the Crescent Head Master Plan into action.
For countless years - decades - previous councils have asked our community for our ideas on improving and protecting our seaside paradise.
Countless documents have been printed and them put in the bottom drawer.
This time we are seeing an implementable 'draft', and the council is asking us for our feedback.
For the first time we are seeing action in our area.
In 2003 the then council promised a Water Treatment Plant - to address the poor quality bore water. It is now, thanks to this council, being delivered this year.
For countless years visitors had to sneak into the club or pub to use the toilet. This council recently delivered a new amenities block to our shopping area. Thank you.
And now, after extensive consultation with residents, this council is looking to spend millions of dollars upgrading the 'tired and old' landscape at the shops, re-landscape the park, address traffic congestion, and make the whole area more people friendly.
And thanks to the efforts of the council, all residents are able to be part of feedback for the final draft . True consultation. Thank you - and thank you for giving us much needed attention.
