Lisa Powlesland, coordinator at the showground, explained the funding was great news for the committee after identifying the need to develop the dressage area for several years.
"We're pretty excited, it's going to be absolutely fantastic, the dressage area has been on the list for development for about five years to my knowledge," she said.

"To finally be able to make it happen for the user groups that are chasing that facility is going to be awesome.
"Stabling for equine will also receive repairs."
The funding provided will see the reputation and identity of the showground improve with the facility one of six showgrounds in the Oxley electorate to benefit.
Powlesland stated it will not only assist in improving the showground but benefit the community.
"Our aim is to be able to have more dressage competitions, attract more visitors, give members of the equine groups more access to coaching and training because the services and facilities are more accessible and bring more people to our region," she explained.
Currently, the showground is operating under government restrictions with camping options opening today.
Recently, they opened for outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people or less however most of the facilities are still shut.
Work on the facility is set to commence in two weeks with Powlesland excited to see it begin.
