According to a statement from NSW Country Rugby Union Executive Officer, Stephen O'Brien, crowds, including players, spectators and officials, must be at a 500 capacity.
'All sports were blind-sided by the announcement that only 500 people in community sporting venues are permitted and we are lobbying with ALL OTHER SPORTS in NSW to have this amended by the NSW Government,' the statement reads.

COVID safety plans have also been made mandatory for all clubs to have at their venues.
The safety plan covers the requirements of organisations through areas of well-being of staffs and visitors, physical distancing, hygiene and cleaning and record keeping.
According to the NSW CRU statement, 'there is no update on canteen to date from Government - so as long as food preparation (including the people serving), queues, social distancing is adhered to canteens can be operational.'
Bars and clubhouses will also be available so long as licensees 'refer to any mandatory guidelines in relation to licensed venues.'
Limited change room usage has also been advised with players encouraged to be ready before they leave home.
