The Jack Newton Junior Golf days - 16 in all across NSW, have seen well north of 600 participants. The circuit was in Ballina on Sunday, while an event was planned to coincide with Nambucca on Monday on the South Coast only to be derailed by rain.
Some of the rules were tweaked too for the shorter formats at The Island - with a club-length preferred lie and a maximum score of a double bogey for the greenhorns tackling a two-person ambrose.
