The members and visitors at the Kempsey Golf Club last Saturday were out in force to show their respect to a former club member and past President of the club, Richard 'Dick' Hilliard, as part of the Memorial Golf Day in his name.

The members came out with the magic number of 100 players in the field which saw visitors from SWR, Crescent Head, Frederickton, Emerald Downs, Nambucca Heads, Chaalambar, Port Macquarie, Wollongong coming along to help the club show respect to Dick.
With a fantastic score of 44 points Donna Farrer lead the way on the day in the 'C' grade with new comer to the game Bailey Harris having a round of 42 points as the runner up.
In the top grade on Saturday David Griffin returned to form with a solid round of 38 points for the victory from Fred Dickson who continues improve his game with 37 points on a countback.

Phillip Ducat from the down river club of SWR proved too good in the 'B' grade on Saturday with a score of 39 points for the victory from another local Pam Bruce with a score of 36 points.
In the ntp's at the 3rd hole the winners were Campbell Hoskins ' A', Nathan Moran 'C'. At the 8th hole the winners were Peter Gadd ( Emerald Downs) 'A', Malcolm Blanch 'B', Duncan Graham ( Emerald Downs) ' C'.
This weeks winner of the super tee ntp on the 18th hole was Fred Dickson with a very good shot.
In the weekly ball competition the winners were players with a score of 34 points on a countback and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event last Saturday.
The 2020 Peter Hatton Open 18 hole 2ball Aggrregate Stableford and Individual event will be held Saturday July 25th with the first players hitting off from 7am on the 1st tee.
With a large field expected all intending players including any visitors can book in now by calling Brad at the club or booking online anytime.
Starting this Sunday at the club will be a 18 hole Single Stableford event to be know as the Sunday Tin Cup Day with a walk up start from 7am or book in at the club for your time.
The book-in timesheet is up now for the 1st round of the 2020 Club Championships to be held on Saturday August 1st as part of the South Street Muffles 18 hole Single Stroke event for the Monthly Medals in each grade.
Round 2 will be held on Saturday August 8th and the final round will be held on Saturday August 15th with the top four players in grade being put into a seeded draw.
