Shane Nancarrow is charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a 54-year-old man at a home in Dondingalong last year.
At about 9.15pm on Friday, August 3, 2019, police and emergency services responded to reports a man had been stabbed at a property on Pipers Creek Rd, Dondingalong.
On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics declared the 54-year-old man deceased.
Shortly after, emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash on Pipers Creek Rd 300 metres away from the house where the deceased was found.
The driver and sole occupant, Shane Nancarrow, was removed from the vehicle and taken to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
The case was mentioned in front of Magistrate D O'Neil in the Kempsey Local Court today where the court heard a case conference had been held on July 16.
Mr Nancarrow was not required to appear in court today and was represented by his lawyer.
The accused remains in custody and no plea has been entered.
The matter was adjourned to August 19.
