A man has been injured after his vehicle left the road and collided head-on into a tree on Maria River Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services arrived on scene at about 2.30pm this afternoon and commenced work to free the 30-year-old trapped driver from the vehicle.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson told the Argus the man was trapped by one or both of his legs in the accident.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Nevertire and Maria River Road.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene at around 2.30pm.
Once the driver was released from the vehicle, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team assisted in the treatment of the 30-year-old for multiple traumatic injuries.
The man was stabilised on scene prior to being flown directly to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Police, NSW Ambulance, Fire and Rescue and SES volunteers also attended the scene.
