As a warm-up to the championships the members last week played in the 2020 Peter Hatton Open 18 hole 2b Aggregate Stableford and Individual event with a field of 71 players hitting off despite the wet weather on the day.
Also on the day were visitors from Frederickton, Crescent Head, Massey Park and Oaks golf clubs along with the local Members.
A big thank you goes to Peter for his support again this year.
After 3 pairs returned to the clubhouse with a aggregate score of 73 points there was a countback done and the winners were the pairing of Shane Crouch (40) and Braden Farrawell (33) while the runner up players on the day was the pairing of 2 of the Rovers Cricket Club stalwarts and nice guys Andrew (rooster) Bennett (36) and David (rabbit) Munday (37).
Congratulations to both teams on the day in those conditions.
In the individual event on the day the winner and claiming his first victory at the club was Chris Edmonds with a great round of 41 points.
Well done Chris and please check your handicap before hitting off tomorrow.
