The old ramp will be demolished before the construction of the new ramp commences as part of the Stuarts Point Foreshore Reserve Development Plan.
Residents and visitors are advised to use the Fishermans Reach Boat Ramp during the course of this construction.
Other upgrades to the area are expected to include a fish cleaning station, a viewing and fishing platform at the northern end of the reserve, and more picnic shelters and tables.
The $3.4 million Stuarts Point Foreshore Reserve Development Plan project is jointly funded by Kempsey Shire Council and the NSW Government under its Restart NSW Regional Growth - Environment and Tourism Fund and Boating Now Program.
The project was identified as a priority in the Council's 2019-20 Operational Plan and 2017-21 Delivery Program.
