The 2020 Kempsey Golf Club Members Club Championship's finally got under way last week after being postponed from earlier in the year.

With the course in tip top condition for the Championships there was a really good field of 121 players on the day which included visitors from Frederickton, Crescent Head, SWR, Bathurst, Nambucca Heads, Eastlake, Emerald Downs, Newcastle and Massey Park.
The day was the 2020 South st Mufflers's 18 hole Single Stroke event for the Monthly Medals in each grade as well as round one of the 54 hole Championships.

With the Championships starting the leading player in the 'A' grade is our defending champion James Benson with a one under par round of 71 to have a 4 shot lead over Brody Clarke after his round of 75.
Two players were next best both on 77, former champions Rick Nicholson and Ian Rudd.
In the 'B' grade two players share the lead after rounds of 86.
Jarrod Lipscombe and Dane Callaghan will be looking to improve on Saturday with Greg Roberts and Scott Williams both on 88 not far away.
Leading the 'C' grade after round one is Shane Couch after his round 89 and next best is Chris Hudson on 93 and making up the top 4 is Andrew Evans and Jeremy Lipscombe both on 96.
All players will be out Saturday to improve their spots in the 2nd round which is another 18 hole Single Stroke event, and all intending players wishing to play can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and any visitors wishing to play are quite welcome to come along for a round.
In the Monthly Medals held last Saturday the winner in the top grade was Matt Brennan with a net score of 70 from Peter Hudson who had a score of 71 net.
The 'B' grade monthly medal went to David Holme after his net score of 71. Shane Crouch was the winner in the 'C' grade with his net score of 68 having just the one shot better then David Adams on 69.
All three winners of the medals will now playoff for the gold in November.
The day was highlighted by two players recording eagles with Ian Rudd on the 9th hole and Dempsey Donovan on the 14th hole after a nice chip in.
This weeks winner of the super tee ntp on the 18th hole was Colin Habgood with a very nice shot to the green.
The winners of this weeks ball competition was players with a net score of 74 net and better and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
Last Sunday saw the Sunday Tin Cup open medley Stableford event held with a field of 16 players hitting off and the winner on the day was Gail Simon with 38 points while Arian Brose with 36 points was runner up and Wallung Dickson also with 36 points was awarded the 3rd place prize.
The Tin Cup Stableford events will be held every Sunday so please come along for your round at the Kempsey Golf Club.
