Last year the Mustangs fell short at the final hurdle, losing to Old Bar Pirates in the grand final before the first grade Macleay Valley team went on to complete a fairy-tale season and gain victory.
The Wingham Tigers are all that stands in front of them in their search for another grand final appearance and the Mustangs will need to improve on their previous outing against the Tigers.
Round four saw Wingham win 10-4 at Verge Street Oval but Mustangs coach Reuben Jones believes they weren't far away from a victory and is confident they can gain glory this weekend.

The Mustangs will be hoping Tirell Dungay can pull of his heroics from two weeks ago after scoring a double against Wauchope on the back of excellent support play.
In under 16s, the Kempsey Dragons will play Port City Breakers at Port Regional Stadium.
