Kempsey Shire Council have unveiled the first six of twelve new holiday cabins at Crescent Head Holiday Park, with the first guests checking in on Friday September 18.

The new cabins provide a much-needed upgrade to the Crescent Head Holiday Park by replacing the cabins closest to the Reception building.
The cabins have been installed in a phased roll out to ensure some were open in time for the school holidays.
The two-bedroom cabins feature:
- Better insulation and good use of natural light, delivering improved comfort for guests
- A wider variety of cabin layouts
- Decks for enhanced outdoor recreation including daybeds and new barbecues
- A modern, visually attractive design that fits with the character of Crescent Head and enhances the appeal of the Holiday Park itself
In June council auctioned off 13 retired cabins with funds generated from the auction used to help fund the Crescent Head cabin replacement as part of the Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Park upgrade program.
Council's Director Corporate and Commercial, Stephen Mitchell, said council's investment into the park supports the tourism industry as well as boosting the local economy.
"Crescent Head is a popular tourist destination so the replacement of these cabins means the park can continue to meet demand whilst providing a better experience for visitors," he said.
A further five two-bedroom cabins, currently on-site, are still being installed. In addition, the twelfth new cabin will be the first three-bedroom, fully accessible cabin across the five Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks. This is set to be delivered to the park in October.
