After winning a tight semi-final 20-18 last week against Woolgoolga, the Tigers knew what it'd take to grind out a win in another close encounter against their opponents.
Going into the first quarter Smithtown held a tight 6-4 lead.
Both sides came out of their team talk with an attacking focus as the scoreline read 18-10 Smithtown's way at half-time.

The score then pushed out to 22-16 at the third quarter with a real nail-biting final quarter ahead.
Smithtown managed to hold out Bowraville to see the game finish at 26-20 with the Tigers of the Macleay crowned official champions.
Flynn Mainey was one of the stars for Smithtown, scoring a hat-trick and picking up man of the match honours.
Coach Grahame Ball was delighted to see the 10s finish their season off on such a high.
"They played well and it was great to see what we put in place on the training paddock be executed on grand final day," he told the Argus.
"I've been coaching some of these boys for four years with different players filtering through and they've all improved massively."
Ball said their commitment to training was exemplary all season, especially in an interrupted season.
"All the boys continued to turn up to training every week - when COVID-19 postponed the competition they were disappointed but no doubt excited when it came back and went full steam ahead right from the start," he explained.
