The Kempsey Golf Club hosted the 2020 May Racing Open 18 hole single stableford event last Saturday with a large field of 95 players hitting off from 7am.

The field was made up of visitors from Crescent Head, Frederickton, Yarra Yarra and Muree Golf clubs along with the many locals on the day.
Tony May, the major sponsor of the day, was very pleased with proceedings and the club thanked him and his team for a great day.
A big thank you to everyone who helped out during the week on the course.
Taking out the day with a very good score of 41 points was Chris Hudson in the C Grade who was a stand out on the day.
With Chris the winner, the runner up in C Grade was Paul Stubbs with a good score of 39 points.
In the top grade on the day the winner with a score of 37 points and back in the winners circle was Phil Starr who had a one point victory over Bryn Davies who recorded a score of 36 points after his early morning round.
Improving his game each week, Scotty Bill Williams, was declared this weeks B Grade winner with a fine round of 39 points on a countback from Ray "Dapto" Campbell who played a nice round for his 39 points to cement his spot in B Grade after coming through the C ranks.
Taking the NTPS at the third hole this week was Fred Dickson 'A', Gary Brown 'B', Ray Moodie 'C' and Deniece Dyet in the ladies.
At the eighth hole the winners were Peter Hatton 'A', Dan Baker 'B', Paul Stubbs 'C', Ariane Brose 'L'.
Mark Morrison 'A', Ray Campbell 'B', Steve Troot 'C' were the winners on the 11th hole while at the 16th hole the winners were Mike Brady 'A', David Munday 'B' and Donna Farrer 'L'.
The weeks winners of the super tee NTP was Marty Nichols.
Also on the day there were prizes for the long-hitters at the fifth hole and they were Azza Smith 'A', Col Kesby 'B', Sam Drew 'C' and Deniece Dyet ladies.
On the 14th hole the winners were Michael Heuston 'A', Dan Baker 'B', Jake Smith 'C' and Ariane Brose 'L'.
The winners of the weekly ball competition were players with a score of 33 points on a countback and they can be collected from the Pro Shop along with any unclaimed vouchers from the day's event.
Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Club the members and visitors will hit off in the 2020 John Geange Smash Repairs open 18 hole medley single stableford.
All intending players can book in at the club or go online to book in for your round.
Again all players are asked to obey all the COVID-19 rules at the club and please carry a bucket on the day.
