Organiser Belinda Fowler said the decision was made to change the location to ensure the markets are COVID-safe.
"We weren't able to hold the markets last month because Riverside Park isn't considered a COVID-safe area. We weren't able to monitor the number of people coming and going and had no way to find people for contact tracing," she said.
"The racecourse has one way in and one way out so we will be able to monitor the number of people and market goers will also have to register their details when they enter."
Organisers will have a QR code at the gate for locals to scan and will be on hand to help make sure everyone registers their details.
"We're also going to have sanitiser stations around the grounds and at each stall," Belinda said.
Although the location has changed, organisers are hoping people will come out and enjoy the day browsing stalls.
"There will be a jumping castle and obstacle course for the kids, fresh local produce, great coffee, gardening stalls and plenty of street food to enjoy.
"It is nice having the markets at Riverside Park, but we hope the change in location won't deter people from coming out and enjoying the day."
Due to regulations, locals are encouraged to bring their own chairs or picnic blanket on the day.
The markets will be held from 8am to 1pm on Saturday, October 3, at Kempsey Racecourse.
"Volunteers from Kempsey Macleay Dragon Boat Club will also be helping man the gates on Saturday. They'll have a bucket for gold coin donations and we ask that locals support them, because without the volunteers we wouldn't be able to hold the markets," Belinda said.
