Trained by Luke Thomas the gelding's last win was at Wyong in March this year but his form has been promising with a third at Hawkesbury and second in Taree mid October.
The five year old has five wins in 21 starts and a 66.7% rate of placing.
Asudem will start wide after drawing barrier 10 and races as the third heaviest on track at 59kg just behind Boncosta (60kg) and Chamisal (60.5kg).
Mo The Great, drawing barrier 1, is currently sitting second favourite at $5.50 whilst Editors is at $6.
