Mister Smartee, the six year old gelding from Port Macquarie has won the Kempsey Cup by two lengths.
The Tas Morton trained horse came home exceptionally strong on the home straight, galloping past favourite Asudem and finishing in front of Chamisal (second), and Barry Ratcliff's Campari Soda in third.

The win sees the Morton stable pocket $19,700 for the win out of a prize pool of $40,000.
"He's feeling pretty good, in fact I haven't seen him this pumped up for a while - he was pig-rooting and jumping around when I took him to trackwork this morning," Morton said last week.
"He'll be spot on for the Kempsey Cup."
This win makes it two out of three appearances at Warwick Park for the gelding.
